INTRODUCTION TO PARALEGAL STUDIES
The student will develop an understanding of the role and responsibilities of paralegals as well as the rules of professional conduct and their application to legal professionals.​

BANKRUPTCY LAW
This course examines the debtor-creditor relationship and the difference between voluntary and involuntary bankruptcy, both under chapter 7 (liquidation) and chapter 13. You will learn how to prepare the most important bankruptcy forms.

IMMIGRATION LAW
This course will cover citizenship and the requirements for an immigrant to become a citizen. Assylum, DACA, U-Visas, Waivers, Visas for Temporary Workers and Temporary Visas for Students, and Family petitions.

FAMILY LAW
This class will study the differences between community and separate property, the classification of property, and the impact of such classification. The role of the paralegal in family law practice and the importance of mediation of domestic issues.

EMPLOYMENT LAW
Topics to be included are wages and hours, anti-discrimination in employment and minimum wages and maximum hours, as well as regulation of working conditions.

CIVIL LITIGATION

This class will help the student learn about the components of a civil complaint, proper service of process, Answering a complaint and different ways to request the court to do what the client wants.
